My client is a small Electronics company currently looking for a general accounts ledger/bookkeeper to help clear some backlog and bring their accounts up to date.
This is a chance for someone to take the full accounts function onboard and really get to grips with how it should be ran.
The role will consist of -
Bank reconciliation, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Credit Control, Payroll and Expenses.
Query resolution on control accounts, debtors & creditors
Preparation of data/reporting for financial controller for quarterly management accounts.
Payroll preparation with an understanding of PAYE, national insurance and pensions and commission payment
Submitting monthly pension schedules
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
Accruals & prepayments and other journals
Maintenance of purchase ledger
Payment of purchase invoices
Issuing invoices to customers
Managing Petty Cash
Liaising with other departments as necessary to resolve any queries....
