Job Description
Our client is seeking either a graduate or someone with 1 year's experience already in Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modelling, who would be keen to gain some research experience in a hybrid role. This is a new permanent headcount to allow them to better service UW support needs and requirements.
The role will work in a small team, and will assist with:
* Process and analysis of natural catastrophe risk information primarily for underwriting and portfolio risk assessment.
* Supporting underwriting access to information, and supporting regular portfolio data development and analysis procedures.
* Research & Development.
The role will support both Direct Insurance & Facultative Pricing as well as working with the Research & Development team on projects including climate change, view of risk and model validation across all perils. They are seeking a recent graduate in a Geographical, Natural Hazards or Environmental related subject, or someone with prior relevant experience and model vendor exposure in RMS. Python and R are desirable as there will be an element of development but it is not a pre requisite. This role in US Dollars has a minimum of $38,088 to a maximum of $44,437. In British Pounds it has a minimum of £30,000 to a maximum of £35,000. In Australian Dollars it has a minimum of $58,640 to a maximum of $68,415.
