Tax Assistant

Our client is seeking a Tax Assistant to join their friendly team. The job holder will be responsible for providing a tax support function to the team. THE ROLE • Building and maintaining good relationships with clients; • Being the day to day contact for allocated clients; • Preparation of Income Tax calculations; • Preparation of Tax Equalisation calculations; • Responsible for ensuring taxable benefits are reported appropriately to HMRC; • Preparation of written advice for clients; • Managing cash flow; • Preparation of drawing cheques; • Manage the reconciliation of the bank accounts; • Ideally you will have the following qualifications and experience: QUALIFICATIONS • AAT qualified and/or ACA/ACCA qualified; and/or • Relevant experience with Taxes, obtained either within another advisory practice or within industry or at a senior level with HMRC. EXPERIENCE • Strong technical skills in accounts production and preparation of tax returns; • Experience in using Microsoft packages and cloud accounting packages; and • Proven ability to adapt quickly to changing deadlines and priorities. • A good understanding of the tax issues faced by clients.
