Job Description
This highly respected firm of Chartered Accountants currently seek an ACCA or ACA Qualified (or an experienced Part Qualified Accountant) for a key position within the practice. As an Accounts & Audit Senior, you will have direct client contact and work closely with the Partners ensuring clients receive excellent service. The role is varied and the firm can offer excellent progression and development opportunities for the right candidate. The role comprises approximately 70% Accounts & 30% Audit.
Accounts & Audit Senior – Main Duties:
Managing a portfolio of clients with regular client visits and contact being a vital part of the role
Preparation of management accounts for a wide variety of clients
Financial Statement preparation for companies and unincorporated businesses and charities and trusts from a range of information
To undertake audits ensuring they are completed in accordance with relevant legislation and Audit standards
Preparation of tax computations and Corporation Tax Returns
Quarterly VAT preparation
Take responsibility for achieving agreed budgets and meeting deadlines
Coaching of more junior members of staff along with review of their work
Be able to advise on accounting issues
Dealing with client queries and liaising with clients in respect of accounting matters
Any other special work as required e.g. company valuations, cashflow projections, HMRC investigations
Starting to become aware of business development, including promoting the firm and its services to the existing client base and prospects
Accounts & Audit Senior – Personal Specification:
ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified
3+ years experience within an accountancy practice
Excellent interpersonal skills – you will have daily contact with the clients and accounts team
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure – this is a demanding role, often with daily deadlines
Experience using Iris, Sage, QuickBooks and Xero
Advanced knowledge of Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, sumifs etc

This role in US Dollars has a minimum of $53,275 to a maximum of $63,423. In British Pounds it has a minimum of £42,000 to a maximum of £50,000. In Australian Dollars it has a minimum of $82,106 to a maximum of $97,746.
