Our client, a small practice based in Amersham, is looking for an Accounts & Tax Manager where you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for review of year end accounts, management accounts, tax returns, VAT returns and other accountancy services.
You must have the ability to ensure the effective and timely completion of all tasks whilst maintaining the highest quality of standards and must be comfortable in a client facing role, meeting clients and discussing their accounts and business.
You will be playing an integral role in shaping financial strategies, liaising closely with the Practice Director and Associate Director, and consistently contributing during team update sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Comprehensive review and finalisation of financial accounts.
• Review of tax computations (corporation/income tax), with a proactive approach to tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Analysis of management insights, focusing on cash flows and financial forecasts.
• Mentoring and supervising junior staff, encouraging their professional growth.
• Unwavering confidence to hold and manage client meetings, ensuring clarity, trust, and mutual understanding.
Special Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years in a financial role (with minimum 2 years being post-qualification) and with a strong all-round knowledge in tax and accounts.
• Certified ACA (preferred) or ACCA.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organise, prioritise, and meet pressing deadlines.
• Good knowledge of Cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.

Salary by Currency
This role in US Dollars has a minimum of $62,548 to a maximum of $81,312. In British Pounds it has a minimum of £50,000 to a maximum of £65,000. In Australian Dollars it has a minimum of $97,245 to a maximum of $126,417.
