Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a leading, regional Accountancy firm in the recruitment of a Payroll Officer.
This is an opportunity to join an expanding practice who are looking to strengthen their existing Payroll department by recruiting a confident, professional and dedicated Payroll Officer. The position would suit an individual who is looking to not just prepare the normal payroll functions, but to help to develop the service delivered and always to be looking to see how we can improve on the service they deliver.
Duties to include:
* Managing a portfolio of clients payrolls at any given time
* Offer advice and information to clients with regards to SMP & SSP
* Assist in the management of a varied client portfolio from smaller limited companies through to companies with large weekly/monthly payrolls
* Process end to end payroll, including dealing with your client queries
* Reviewing and checking all aspects of payroll process
* Deal with HMRC PAYE/NI regarding queries
* Successfully build and maintain strong working relationships with existing and new clients
* Uploading workplace pensions contributions to pension providers
Required Experience:
* 3-4 years Industry payroll experience but you must have managed a number of payrolls i.e. for various sites/branches – essential OR
* 1-2 years Practice payroll experience within a payroll bureau, preferably on top of industry payroll experience – desirable
* Good telephone manner – essential
* Interpersonal skills – essential
* Good IT skills and use of Office 365 - essential
* Sage 50 Payroll – desirable
* Brightpay – desirable
* IRIS - desirable

This role in US Dollars has a minimum of $30,953 to a maximum of $34,667. In British Pounds it has a minimum of £25,000 to a maximum of £28,000. In Australian Dollars it has a minimum of $48,134 to a maximum of $53,909.
