Payroll Administrator Full time permanent role Mon-Fri (Apply online only) Uckfield - free street parking available very nearby Salary: £28000 per year plus very good company benefits This role is primarily office based but there are opportunities to also work from home part of the week. We are delighted to be working alongside our very professional and highly reputable accountancy based client as they seek to recruit a Payroll Administrator to join their Uckfield team on a permanent and full time basis. Based in a small and friendly payroll team, you will have current payroll experience and be confident in managing a diverse client portfolio (consisting of weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls), dealing with all client queries in relation to the same. You will have working knowledge of computerised payroll software. Duties / responsibilities: Liaising with clients and entering payroll data from start to finish accurately Reconciling payroll to client data, getting client approval as appropriate and issuing payroll reports & payslips Preparing payroll journals Reconciling weekly and monthly PAYE figures Preparing BACS files Administering Pension Auto-enrolment including making appropriate declarations to The Pensions Regulator. Producing and distributing pension scheme returns, including notification of changes in members status and uploading to pension provider Dealing effectively with queries from clients and HMRC Skills and experience required: Excellent numeracy skills Thorough knowledge of payroll related legislation such as PAYE, National Insurance, family leave & pay, etc. Ability to manually calculate payroll results and explain calculations/breakdown to clients Good understanding of pension schemes and rules Evidence of being a pro-active, hands-on team player who is confident in working to changing priorities in a busy department A natural organiser with a keen eye for detail and accuracy Working knowledge of a computerised payroll software This is a highly deadline-based role so, at times, flexibility on hours in peak times will be required First Recruitment Services is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. This role in US Dollars has a minimum of $35,445 to a maximum of $35,445. In British Pounds it has a minimum of £28,000 to a maximum of £28,000. In Australian Dollars it has a minimum of $53,937 to a maximum of $53,937.
