Job Description

A vacancy has become available for an Assistant Accountant with Payroll lead duties at our Fivemiletown site. The successful person will work within the Group Finance function, and have responsibility for accounts receivable, lead the group payroll function, and assist with management accounts. Responsibilities ​ * Take ownership of the Accounts Receivable function for a company within the group, including credit control. * Assist the Finance Team with all period end processes, including stock valuations and VAT Returns. * Potentially taking on preparation of management accounts for a division within a group company. * Lead the payroll team ensuring the smooth running of the entire payroll function across Group. * Act as point of contact for payroll related queries, including liaising with all external bodies. * Provide support, advice and query resolution to colleagues. * Observe all Company Rules, Standard Operating Procedures and Company Policies particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Harassment, Disciplinary and ICT Security. * Identify opportunities for improving the method of operation in your area of responsibility. * Implement improvements which have been agreed with your Manager. ​ This is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities. Other benefits include employee assistance program, pension, paid refer a friend scheme, and employee social club. ​ Requirements ​ Essential * Payroll Experience ideally in a lead role, gained within a mid size business. * End to end processing within a medium sized business. * Experience of assisting with Management Accounts Preparation and of Accounts Receivables processes. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software. Desirable * IATI qualification(or equivalent) * Previous experience of managing payroll for 100+ employees * Experience of working in a Group company structure. * Experience of Management Accounts preparation ​ About Cooneen Group Cooneen Group is one of the largest and most diversified garment manufacturers in Europe.
